The Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) Programme is a long-term residency scheme introduced by the Government of Malaysia to attract foreigners who wish to live in the country for an extended period. Open to individuals who meet certain financial and personal criteria, the programme provides successful applicants with a multiple-entry Social Visit Pass that is initially valid for five (5) years and can be renewed upon expiry. This allows participants and their families to reside in Malaysia with ease while enjoying the freedom of entering and leaving the country without repeated visa applications.
Beyond long-term stay privileges, MM2H participants enjoy a wide range of benefits such as the opportunity to invest in property, access Malaysia’s world-class healthcare and education system, and experience its rich cultural diversity. Coupled with the nation’s modern infrastructure, affordable cost of living, tropical climate, and welcoming environment, the programme has become an attractive option for retirees, expatriates, and individuals seeking a secure and comfortable second home in Southeast Asia.
It is open to citizens of all countries recognised by Malaysia regardless of race, religion, gender or age. Applicants are allowed to bring their spouses and unmarried children below the age of 35 as dependants.
This programme is initiated, organised and launched by the Malaysian Government and is thus one that the Government will continuously seek to improve, to ensure its success.
